Sanity
Kudos to Ron Paul tonight for being a voice of sanity, reason and constitutional understanding in a sea of neo-conservative, saber-rattling, christo-fascist nonsense. If those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, voting for any of the other 9 candidates will only insure many more decades of entangling foreign alliances and terrorist attacks (not to mention a continued growth of government, taxation and restrictions on personal liberty).
I'm also amused to scan the news sites tonight and see the Republican stooges spend an inordinate amount of verbage demonizing Ron Paul. That alone should encourage sane people to seriously consider his candidacy.
A couple of other related thoughts:
Just remember --- if the majority likes it or believes it, it's probably wrong.

A couple of other related thoughts:
- Is it just me, or is John McCain remarkably good at not answering questions?
- John Kerry was in Vietnam. Rudy Giuliani was in New York on 9/11. Does either claim really lend their political insights any genuine credibility??
- Someone ought to tell Tommy Thompson that Wisconsin isn't an important state -- regardless of how many times he claims it is.
Just remember --- if the majority likes it or believes it, it's probably wrong.

I support Ron Paul - He's is simply the only choice for a conservative/republican who is/was against the war in Iraq. And, believe it or not, there are some! Most intellectual conservatives were against this war before it started in 2003. Did you know that? Pat Buchanan, Tucker Carlson (a little silly, I know) Charley Reese said in 2002 “is a prescription for the decline and fall of the American empire. Overextension – urged on by a bunch of rabid intellectuals who wouldn’t know one end of a gun from another” Paul Craig Roberts, who was one of the highest-ranking Treasury Department officials under President Reagan and now a nationally-syndicated conservative columnist, wrote: “an invasion of Iraq is likely the most thoughtless action in modern history.” On and on and these quotes are from 2002! This war was Undeclared, un-provoked, liberal “nation building” I know it is hard, but we, as conservatives, have got to do some deep thinking about this issue and wake up!

Thanks Aaron ... There are many areas of overlap between Goldwater conservatives and libertarians, and we should work together on those issues. That's exactly why I'm blogging for Ron. I worked on his campaign in '88 when he ran as the LP presidential candidate, and I'll happily work for him if he's running as a Republican.
